A Loveland Tradition Since 1966
Our Story
Founded in 1966, The Black Steer was purchased by Hamid and Janice Eslan in 1992. Their dedication to Loveland spans decades, from serving in the Rotary to offering free lunches during government furloughs and providing Loveburgers during COVID closures.
History
Duane Thompson also known as Trapper Tom still comes in for his Birthday. If we are lucky he will wear his buck skins and sit near his portrait.
Colorado Western Art
The Black Steer has a large collection of original art throughout. Paintings and sculptures depicting our western heritage. Portraits of actual Colorado mountain men including Buddy Stockwell and Trapper Tom are displayed with great pride.
